Giran Gaon (Mill Village)

Chimney dwarfed.

The buildings in the background are built on old mill land. Even taller towers will one day be replace the old mill in the foreground.

If you close your nose, ignore the teeming urban life and look high above one of Mumbai's most interesting part - Parel and Lalbag, you can imagine that that any other city in the world. With the same finger-like buildings, sanitised malls, brands, cars, traffic jams, diesel smoke, people who wear the same brands, the same perfumes, the same boring same to sameness.
