Horniman Circle

Made on Mumbai streets. Now played on first class grounds.

The quicker version of cricket and the freestyle shots have been played for years on Mumbai streets. It's surprising that it took so many years for Dhobhi Pachad and Natraja shots to go mainstream.

I know the Nataraja (hook or pull the ball balancing yourself on one leg) shot made famous by Kapil Paaji & Jimmy Amarnath in their prime. But, don't think ever heard of Dhobhi Pachad... Is it the Paddle Sweep?

Thanks Machu! So, I do know my cricket... Thanks to Sunil Gavaskar Presents in the good old DD days.

A neat shot that captures the action, as well as the beauty of the architecture with it's weathered and aged degradation. Well seen.

Brings out my old memories of this place. When I used to move around in this place with my camera.
