शब्दकोडे Shabdakode

Mumbai Crosswords in Marathi and Gujarati newspapers are printed with large boxes to help daily commuters solve them in any standing or sitting position in a crowded local.

Apparently, there was a Marathi newspaper entirely devoted to Shabdakode. It was called Time Pass. Does it continue to exist?

That's interesting. Mumbai local trains are a world in themselves. Nice snaps ...

Yes it was called "Bhannat Time Pass". Not sure if it's still around. It had loads of crosswords and cash rewards for selected readers who sent correct entries.

I don't think these exist anymore, I haven't seen them. But the evening "4-page" newspapers typically have 1 or more pages devoted to "maha shabda kode" and solving these is often a group activity, esp with 'train friends'.
