Car Culture: Mumbai Monorail.
The pillars of the almost completed stretch of the Monorail that connects Chembur with Jacob's Circle via Wadala have been painted by enthu cutlets with spray cans and paint brushes during the recently concluded Chembur Festival. They should have given them a theme that would make people use the monorail when it is finally ready.
Meanwhile, lI ove the way the cars are parked below the pillars in this photograph. The Monorail can stop us from using the cars theoretically, but people with the means prefer to live the gridlock life.
