Kurla (W)

100% Indian "Grill" art. The locked gate leading to the Bene Israel Prayer Hall.

Many of the Bene Israelis of Kondkan, now live in Israel-Palestine. My friend Priyank Thatte had the pleasure of speaking Marathi and sharing a traditional Indian meal with a Bene Israel family during his trip to Israel. You can read about his experience here.

ive rarely seen synagogues that have 7 candles.. i always thought they came in 8s or 9s. But I could be wrong. Happy Hannukah

From what I know, a menorah has 7 or 9 candles. I met Marathi speaking Bene Israelis in Tel Aviv, it was very interesting!
