Churchgate - The Vahu Mano Library for children

The Vahu Mano Library for children hides among trees in Churchgate. It is supposed to be where dreamers are born in South Mumbai. The building seems to be a nice example of an art deco buildings happily hidden by trees.

ART OF ARRANGING BOOKS

The railway bookshop at Churchgate station in Mumbai is a special one. It has an envious location for a book stop with millions passing by every year and thousands a day. It is also manned by people who keep juggling with the books on display. Today is Ambedkar Jayanti or the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar who is the champion of liberty in India to put it broadly. Another reason the bookshop is worth visiting is because you get newspapers from other parts of India, often a day late.

Mumbai Bookshelves.

Noted: The bookshop at Churchgate station did not have a book with PM Modi's face on display. That's strange for the Western Line which has the most number of hardcore bhakts in the city. But don't read too much into it and his fans need not worry. It's just the stillness before a new wave before the coming election.
