Talaash! Which part of Mumbai do you want to see?

CP Tank + Deonar + Mankhurd

This is at CP Tank.
The overhead tap that reminds you of old railway stations.
It is from here that water is supplied around the parched southern part of the city.

In Navi Mumbai, the water taps on the road medians and the pipe supplying fountains are the lifeline for truckers who come to the APMC, the homeless (fewer of them here than in Mumbai) and the small businesses by the roadside.

In Lalubhai Compound, a shop without a shutter or occupants but a borewell.

A locked borewell in a slum off Easter Freeway.

The daily search for water

Along the Sion - Panvel Highway at Mankhurd, a leaking valve provides the water to
wash autos, taxis and police vehicles.
