Guards.
Compared to the value of the land the now silent mills of Mumbai stand on, the machinery that kept the industry rolling for over a century aren't worth much - it's just a few crores worth of scrap metal. When sold, it would probably buy a cramped apartment in the Singapore style skyscraper that will occupy this place. But before that, it needs to be guarded and these are left behind the guards on night duty.
