The demolition man doesn't believe
that he is breaking things,
destroying or tearing things apart.
Nor does he know what will rise here
once the rubble is cleared.
We are here to destroy the old,
make place for something new,
preserve what has a future,
maybe photograph things that
do not have a future
But create things
that will one day be destroyed
Sow a few ideas that will outlast
everything we create
