Some observations:
The people cleaning the drains ahead of the monsoon are all couples. The husband clears the drain, the women help him above ground.
The cleaners in Navi Mumbai use protection. The workers in BMC areas don't use protection.
Our drains are clogged with plastic (which are picked up by the rag pickers). This was one of the cleaner mounds.
And here is one of the ladies with a hook in her hand picking up all things plastic from the mounds. We should thank her and her friends was picking up the plastic after us and sending it to the people who recycle it.
