Mapla Por.
Historical Alleys is a wonderful blog that has interesting stories from the Malabar coast and Kozhikode (Calicut). Recently it had a very interesting story about a place called Mapla Por which used to stand where the Bazar Gate Post office and a building named Mangrol Mansion now stands.
