Birds of Mumbai: Crows.
When this crow locked eyes with me on Sunday morning as it was trying to get a treat out of this bag of milk, I remembered a book I enjoyed reading recently. It is called The Genius of Birds by Jennifer A. It's a book full of stories including that famous one about the opening of milk bottles by crows that was documented in the 1920s to stories about the latest research across the world to understand the intelligence of birds. Also, have you noticed that most books today about birds, fish, insects or nature invariably end up trying to understand what is intelligence and how it developed or evolved in nature.
