Salt Pans of Mumbai: Mankhurd
March is a good time to go and see salt being made out in Mumbai. Get off the train at Mankhurd Station and walk towards the pan along the tracks (there is a road/path) for a kilometre to reach it. If you have a vehicle, you can take the exit at the old Octroi naka and take the road used by the trucks to the salt pan.
It also looks good in the colours of the morning light.
