Shiva Thorat works for TISS and lives in Vashi Gaon. During the lockdown, he found time to explore the mangroves of Navi Mumbai and is making a documentary on the place and the communities who depend on the natural things here for livelihood.
On Saturday, I accompanied him on one of his cycling/walks into the mangroves between Vashi Station and Sarsole Gaon.
